My GPA Journal
Your climb, term by term: every term you save from 9th grade to graduation, your cumulative GPA over time, and a keepsake card of how far you’ve come. It lives only on this device.

- Term GPA
- Cumulative GPA
- Goal
Some terms are weighted and some are not. The cumulative line mixes the two scales, so treat it as rough.

Keep it safe
Your data lives only on this device. There is no account and no copy on our server. Export a backup file after each term. Import adds it back on any device. Clearing this site’s data in your browser erases the journal.
How the journal works
Each saved term has a name, a year, a GPA and the credits behind it. The timeline plots every term’s GPA as a dot and your cumulative GPA as a line, so you can see both a single strong term and the long, steady climb. Cumulative GPA is credit-weighted: a term with more credits moves it more. The methodology shows the exact formula.
Every two new terms, the page shows a short reminder to download a backup. You can dismiss it, and it stays quiet until you save two more terms.
You can save terms straight from the GPA calculator or the cumulative GPA calculator with Save this term, or type them in above from your report cards. Set a journal goal to see where you stand on the trail, and make a climb card to keep or share.
Privacy, plainly
Nothing you save here leaves your browser. The backup file is created on your device and downloaded straight to it. If you share a climb card, you choose exactly where it goes. See the privacy policy for the rest.
Frequently asked questions
Where is my GPA journal stored?
Only in this browser on this device, in its local storage. GPA Climb has no accounts and no server copy, so nothing you save here is sent to us.
How do I move my journal to another device?
Use Export backup to download a small .json file, move it to the other device (for example by email to yourself or a USB drive), then use Import backup there. Terms already in that journal aren’t duplicated.
What happens if I clear my browser data?
The journal is erased along with the rest of this site’s data. Export a backup after each term so you can restore it with Import backup.
How is the cumulative GPA in the journal calculated?
Each term counts in proportion to its credits: the sum of term GPA × credits, divided by total credits. It is the same formula the cumulative GPA calculator uses. Keep weighted and unweighted terms apart, because if you mix them, the cumulative number won’t mean much.
Can I keep more than four years?
The journal holds up to 80 terms across four years of high school or college. Name each term (for example "Fall 2026" or "Summer session") so the timeline reads clearly.
